Sofa Beds in Leicester: Click Clack, Pull-Out and Velvet Sets Compared
A good sofa bed for a Leicester home depends on how often you will use the bed and how much room you have. A click clack is the cheapest, a chenille pull-out looks most like a normal sofa, and a velvet set suits a larger lounge. This page compares each type using real products, prices and measurements from our range.
Comfyland Furniture Ltd is a UK furniture retailer with a showroom at 36 Wembley Hill Road, Wembley, HA9 8FJ. We deliver to Leicester and across Leicestershire, and our team can confirm your postcode before you order.
If you want a spare bed at the lowest price, start here. The Adjustable 3 Seater Click Clack Sofa Bed costs £150 in grey and in green (reduced from £215), and the blue version is also £150. You push the backrest down to make the bed. There are no armrests, which leaves more room to sleep, and the seat is button-tufted woven velvet with gold chrome feet.
For something a little more finished, the blue velvet click clack with bolster cushions is £250, reduced from £360. The product page lists three positions (upright, reclined and flat), triple-layer cushioning, side bolsters and four gold metal legs. The legs need fitting, and the page describes it as a guest bed for one or two people.
A Chenille Pull-Out Sofa Bed That Looks Like a Sofa
A pull-out suits a living room where the sofa is the star and the bed is a bonus. The pull-out sofa bed in beige chenille comes in three sizes:
1 seater: £250, reduced from £360
2 seater: £399, reduced from £570
3 seater: £499, reduced from £715
The 2 seater measures 190 cm wide and 90 cm deep when closed, and opens to 160 cm by 185 cm. The 3 seater measures 215 cm wide when closed and opens to 180 cm by 190 cm. The product page also lists a side storage pocket, and a grey version of the same design is available.
Velvet Sofa Bed Sets for Bigger Lounges
For a matching suite, the Parma beige velvet set pairs soft beige upholstery with gold accents on the armrests and legs. The description lists a three-seater sofa bed, a two-seater loveseat and an armchair on a robust wooden frame. A 1 seater is £250, a 2 seater is £550 and a 3 seater is £650, so you can start with one piece and add more.
If you prefer cream, the Melisa Cream Sofa Bed is a velvet set with a full foam seat and backrest of medium firmness. A 3 seater is £450, a 2 seater is £350 and a 1 seater is £250. Assembly is required, and the product page says special tools are needed.
Choosing a Sofa Bed for Leicester Homes
Leicester has a lot of student lets around De Montfort University and the University of Leicester, Victorian terraces in areas such as Clarendon Park and Stoneygate, and newer flats in the city centre. Each suits a different sofa bed:
Student let or small flat: a click clack takes little space and costs the least.
Terrace living room: a 2 seater pull-out keeps the room looking like a living room.
Larger lounge: a velvet set gives you seating for the family and a bed for visitors.
Older terraces often have narrow hallways, so measure the front door and the narrowest turn before you order, then compare it with the closed size on the product page.
