Sofa Beds in Glasgow: Choosing One That Fits Your Flat and Your Stairs
The best sofa bed for a Glasgow home is one that suits your room and can actually get through your front door. Many Glasgow flats are in tenements, with a close, a stair and a few tight turns, so the closed size and the way a sofa arrives matter as much as the look. This page walks through our options using real products, prices and measurements.
Comfyland Furniture Ltd is a UK furniture retailer with a showroom at 36 Wembley Hill Road, Wembley, HA9 8FJ. We deliver to Glasgow, and our team can confirm your postcode before you order.
For a small flat or a student room, a click clack uses the least floor space and costs the least. The Adjustable 3 Seater Click Clack Sofa Bed is £150 in grey and in green, reduced from £215. You push the backrest down to make the bed. It has no armrests, so there is more room to sleep, and the seat is button-tufted woven velvet on gold chrome feet.
The product page describes it as a practical guest bed for occasional use, which suits a flat near the University of Glasgow or Strathclyde where friends and family stay now and then.
A Budget 3 Seater and a Corner Option
If the sofa will be used every day, a bigger frame is worth considering. The budget 3 seater with a solid wooden frame is £199, reduced from £285, with a solid wooden frame. It measures 213 cm wide, 88 cm deep and 82 cm high.
For a larger living room, the corner sofa bed with a chaise for either side is £499, reduced from £715. You can put the chaise on either side. Stock on both is low, so check the product page.
Velvet Sets with Gold Detailing
If you want a matching suite, three velvet ranges are worth a look. The Berlin cream velvet set has soft cream upholstery, gold accents on the armrests and legs, and a robust wooden frame. A 2 seater is £550 and a 3 seater is £650. For a bolder look, the Almera black velvet 2 seater is £600, reduced from £850.
The Melisa Grey Sofa Bed with gold detailing has a full foam seat and backrest of medium firmness. A 3 seater is £450, a 2 seater is £350 and a 1 seater is £250. The product page says assembly is required and special tools are needed.
Getting a Sofa Bed Up a Tenement Stair
Before you order, measure these in this order:
The width of the close entrance and the street door.
The narrowest point of the stair, including the turns and landings.
The flat door and the hallway inside.
The wall where the sofa will go, plus the space needed for the bed to open.
Then compare the numbers with the closed size on the product page. Models with legs or parts that you fit yourself are easier to carry up a stair than a single large piece. Please contact us before ordering if your flat is on an upper floor or has an awkward entrance, so we can talk through the delivery.
Delivery, Finance and Returns
We offer free delivery on orders over £300. Your delivery details are confirmed after you order. If you would rather spread the cost, you can pay in 12 months, subject to status, and the finance terms are shown before you commit. Our 14-day returns policy applies if the sofa bed is not right for your home, and the returns policy sets out the full conditions.
